Understanding Dashboard Metrics

Visitor vs Pageview

  • Visitor: A unique person visiting your website
  • Pageview: Each time a page is loaded (one visitor can have multiple pageviews)

Session vs Visit

  • Session: A period of activity from a visitor (ends after 30 minutes of inactivity)
  • Visit: Same as session - the time a visitor spends on your site

Bounce Rate

The percentage of visitors who leave your site after viewing only one page. A lower bounce rate generally indicates better engagement.
